What is Travel?

what is travel, road trip, camper van, travel

Some say that they travel to lose themselves. To get away from their everyday and to forget all their troubles. They travel to break free from their life, their job, their existence.

To me however, travel isn’t about losing yourself, it’s about finding your passion for life, finding your purpose, finding your inspiration. It’s about uncovering hidden gems and discovering a new path. Travel is about writing your own story. Travel is about FINDING yourself.

There is a saying “The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page.” Well I think that truly living is writing your own book, your own story. And those who do not travel write only one page.

I hope that through travel FOUNDations I inspire you to buy that plane ticket around the world. To board that plane, or train, or ferry. To watch the street lines disappear in your rearview mirror as the road opens up before you. To stand on a mountain top and feel like you are on top of the world. To dip your toes into the ocean and feel like you are connected to the continent on the other side. Through travel FOUNDations I hope to inspire you to travel and write your own stories, to fill up every single page of your book. To FIND yourself.

But do not fear, you will never be alone in your travels. My hope is that you use travel FOUNDations as a resource to help you plan your travels and connect to a community of other travellers to share your experiences and advice. Not only will I be sharing with you all my travel stories, but city guides with the best things to see and do when you visit each city. Also, a section filled with travel tips where I will pass down the advice that I learned along my journey and through years of travel experiences. I more then welcome comments and open discussion where I hope you share your stories with our travel FOUNDations wanderlust community. If you have any questions or would like more information about a a place I’ve visited, you can email me directly at travelfoundations@hotmail.com.
